The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great patriotic spirit and enthusiasm at B. V. Bhoomaraddi College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Bidar.
The programme was graced by Dr. Rajnish Wali, Governing Council Member, as the Chief Guest. The celebration commenced with the flag hoisting ceremony, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. The gathering paid tribute to the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and remembered their invaluable contribution to the nation.
Dr. Rajnish Wali addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of Independence Day, patriotism, national unity, discipline and the responsibility of the younger generation in building a strong and progressive India.
The Principal, Dr. Deepa Raga, extended her greetings and encouraged the students to uphold the values of freedom, equality, unity and responsible citizenship. Students presented patriotic songs, cultural programmes and other activities that added enthusiasm and splendour to the celebration.
Teaching and non-teaching staff, NCC and NSS volunteers, and students actively participated in the programme. The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks.
The 80th Independence Day celebration was a memorable occasion that inspired everyone to cherish the freedom of the nation and contribute towards the development of a strong, united and prosperous India.
