The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great patriotic spirit and enthusiasm at HKE Society’s B. V. Bhoomaraddi College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Bidar.

The programme was graced by Dr. Rajnish Wali, Governing Council Member, as the Chief Guest. The celebration commenced with the soulful rendition of “Vande Mataram,” paying tribute to the spirit of patriotism and national pride. This year, India is observing the 150-year milestone of “Vande Mataram,” the iconic national song composed by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay. Following the rendition, the National Flag was hoisted, and the gathering proudly sang the National Anthem.

The gathering paid tribute to the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and remembered their invaluable contribution to the nation. Dr. Rajnish Wali addressed the gathering and highlighted the significance of Independence Day, patriotism, national unity, discipline and the responsibility of the younger generation in building a strong and progressive India.

The Principal, Dr. Deepa Raga, extended her warm greetings and encouraged students to uphold the values of freedom, equality, unity and responsible citizenship. Students presented patriotic songs, cultural programmes and other activities, adding enthusiasm and splendour to the celebration.

Teaching and non-teaching staff, NCC and NSS volunteers, and students actively participated in the programme. The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks.

The 80th Independence Day celebration was a memorable and inspiring occasion that reminded everyone to cherish the hard-earned freedom of the nation and contribute towards building a strong, united and prosperous India.
