HKE Society’s B. V. Bhoomaraddi College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Bidar, celebrated Ganesha Chaturthi with great devotion, enthusiasm, and environmental consciousness. As part of the celebration, an eco-friendly Ganesha idol was installed on the college campus to spread awareness about the importance of celebrating festivals in an environmentally responsible manner.

Dr. Deepa Raga, Principal of the college, performed the Ganesha pooja and sought the blessings of Lord Ganesha for the prosperity and well-being of the institution, faculty members, and students. Faculty members and students participated in the pooja with devotion and enthusiasm.

The celebration emphasized the importance of using clay idols, natural colours, biodegradable decorations, and avoiding plastic and Plaster of Paris idols. Students were encouraged to celebrate festivals while protecting nature and reducing environmental pollution.

The programme conveyed the meaningful message that our traditions can be celebrated with devotion while respecting and protecting the environment. The eco-friendly initiative reflected the college’s commitment to environmental awareness, sustainability, and social responsibility
